PERSIAN GULF COMMAND VETERANS ORGANIZATION
held their 60th ANNUAL NATIONAL CONVENTION in Danville, PA on July 18-22, 2007. During the general membership meeting held on July 21, 2007, the membership in attendance, in accordance with the organization by-laws, unanimously voted to discontinue the annual conventions of the organization and formally disband. Therefore, the organization is no longer accepting new members and there are no current membership listings available.
This website will continue to be maintained with information and stories from the men and women who served in Iran during World War II.
Please be patient with us as we continue to add information about this
"SECRET MISSION" which involved hauling supplies to the Russians via the Persian Corridor during WWII, and the men and women who made it all happen.
INQUIRIES:
The Persian Gulf Command Veterans Organization of WWII was established after WWII as a "social" organization and remained in that status for over 60 years until it's disbandment in 2007. The PGCVO did not maintain or have access to any military service records or any other military legal documentation on its membership. The extent of our membership information consisted of name, address, unit served.
If you are looking for service records or other military documentation, please contact the approriate US Government department to obtain this information on your veteran.

Contacts: If you are trying to find other PGC WWII veterans who served with you or your family member, or any other type of inquires, we can post them on the website for other visitors to see. We are starting a new page specifically for listing this type of information.
Stories to Share: Any PGCVO WWII veteran or family member wishing to share their personal experience(s) while serving in Iran with the PGC and wanting their story posted on our website, may do so by submitting the story by EMAIL. Pictures are welcome but are limited to 3 per story. Pictures need to be captioned, if possible. Please note that these stories will not be used anywhere other than on our website.

2. Use of personal information (name/address/phone/email, etc) is at writier's

The organization is proud to announce that a monetary donation of $15,000 was presented to the
National Mall Memorial Park
Washington, DC
on behalf of the
PERSIAN GULF COMMAND VETERANS ORGANIZATION OF WORLD WAR II.
In a letter to Superintendent Margaret O'Dell, National Mall Memorial Park department,
the PGCVO expressed the intent and use of the funds to be designated for the upkeep and
maintenance of the
WORLD WAR II MEMORIAL.
A special "thank you" to all our members who throughtout the past 60 + years
have made this donation possible.
